Running can be one of the most freeing, exhilarating, empowering things you do, but sometimes it’s tough to stay motivated on your own.

There’s a saying - to go fast, go alone, but to go far, go together - and that’s where running communities come in.

The problem with us is that we all have this annoying little part of our brain that’s only concerned about being comfortable, taking it easy, and isn’t able to consider the long term benefits of things which get us out of our comfort zone (in german it’s called your inner Schweinehund, or pig-dog.)

The best way to create accountability is to become part of a community - knowing that others are waiting for you can give you the strength to be consistent even when your motivation dips, and it makes showing up more fun.

For a lot of people (who don’t know better) running is boring and hard. It’s kind of an acquired taste. But to make that acquisition period fun, we help by throwing in a whole lot of yelling, music, food, and vibes. Community runs turn something the painful process of changing your habits in to something exciting. Because running should feel exciting, not like a chore.

Pretty much everyone at RUN-N-RAVE comes for the exercise but stays for the community.

Running is more than physical—it’s mental training too.

Having a supportive crew helps you build resilience, confidence, and also leans a supportive shoulder when you’re going through it. Knowing that you’ve got a whole gang who has your back no matter what can give you confidence like you’ve never had before, and you never have to worry that nobody is there for you. We’ve seen so many amazing friendships come out of running, and we’ve seen so many people transformed in to the confident, glowing personalities that always lay hidden inside but needed help finding it’s place.

Running consistently also makes you way hotter physically, obviously!

New to a city? The absolute best and fastest way to make friends is through activities, and running is a healthy, inclusive, fun, and generally awesome way to create community for yourself.

If you’re interested in getting to know the city, running with a local community lets you discover new routes, hidden gems, and parks you’d probably never explore on your own.

Your new friends will also introduce you to cafes, events, clubs, and everything else you need to know to live like a local!
